The Zerdava is an aboriginal Laika dog breed native to the Black Sea region of Turkey and Georgia. Traditionally used as a guard and hunting dog, the Zerdava is especially prized for its boar-hunting abilities. The breed is known for its compact, athletic body, triangular upright ears, and curved tail, giving it a distinctive spitz-like appearance. Their versatile hunting skills and resilience in harsh conditions make them a valuable working breed. In recent years, they have also been trained for search and rescue, bomb detection, and military service.
