The Dunmore East Coastal Walk, extended in 2020, now stretches nearly 7 kilometers along the coastline from the harbour car park to Ballymacaw Cove.
The initial section of the trail leads to Portally Cove and is well-suited to those with a moderate fitness level, featuring a mix of steps and gentle slopes. This portion offers a round trip of around 4 kilometers.
For those seeking a more demanding hike, the trail continues from Portally Cove to Rathmoylan Cove and onwards to Ballymacaw Cove, with a total round trip distance of approximately 15 kilometers.
This section requires a higher level of fitness and rewards walkers with spectacular coastal views.
