Address
Begins at a minor road in the townland of Cloughbrack which can be accessed from the R312 Castlebar-Bangor road, or the R315 Crossmolina-Pontoon road.
Nephin is Ireland's highest standalone mountain as well as being Connacht's second highest mountain.
Standing at over 800m, Nephin offers a challenging 8 km hike for you and your doggy. The trail is steep and rugged, making it suitable for experienced hikers and your dogs on a leash.
The views from the top are certainly worth the effort it takes to get there; they are simply breathtaking.
There are expansive views over Mayo's lakes and valleys. Make sure to bring plenty of water for you and your doggo, as the climb can be demanding.
